NOTE: This Interlinear is designed for Lay-folk who have not had the opportunity to attend Bible School or Seminary. It differs dramatically from the normal Interlinear Greek NT - perhaps the chief difference being the outlined natureof sentence, subdivision, paragraph and sectional divisions as discovered by Panin in the late 1800's and early 1900's. I personally have been enriched and enlightened by this discovery. Since 1945 I have been actively engaged in making use of it.

28:11-15 - Notice again the extreme hypocrisy and deception of the Jewish leaders of that time in seeking to hide the true nature of Jesus' Resurrection. They intuitively understood that if the people discerned what this truly meant, it would go ill with them as leaders.

But for me, 28:16-20, The Great Commission, is as the final word of this Gospel, laced with incredible revelation. Jesus' statement for His disciples of the heavenly grant of all authority - e-xouSIa - in heavenand on earth- is breath taking.

Then - the actual break-down of the Commission - has truth of unusual importance. Jesus wants us to disciple(ma-theTEUsa-te) all nations- not just make converts. There is a world of difference here! Then we are to baptize disciples in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The early disciples baptized in the name of Jesus, which means “Jehovah is Salvation”. This name, encompassing the Triunity of the Godhead, meets this word of Jesus. The formula Billy Graham used in baptism was, “I baptize you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” That seems to cover it!

Finally, He tells them to teach all disciples all thingswhatever Hehad commanded them! Did that include the Sermon on the Mount? Absolutely. He knew that His indwelling Presence through the Holy Spirit abiding within all true disciples, would enable Him to fulfill Galatians 2:20 through them! Did that include the 4 Gospels? Did Jesus teach what was in them to His 12 disciples? Then- all of that is alsofor us. Listen to what Jesussays, and if what other teachers say does not accord with Him- then we know what to do!

Some believe only the 4 prison epistles of Paul are valid for us today! How safe and how good it is - to let God say what Hewant to say - and the Bible mean what itwants to mean. J.A.W.
